fear-of-failure

In this week’s episode of The Therapy Spot I explore some of the ways in which we can connect with the parts of us that drive feelings of failure.

Being afraid is something we all feel from time to time. Fear of a new job. Fear of change. Fear of failing in a relationship. It’s something I am sure we all recognize.

But fear can also be all-consuming, showing up as not just thoughts or feelings but also sensations in your body. Fear can literally make you physically ill.

I want to encourage you to pay attention to those self-advising, fearful parts that overwhelm you. So in this episode I try to gently guide you to meet with these parts, sharing a couple of exercises that I have found helpful, so you can be more intentional and lead with Self.

Before you know it, you might even come away recognising that the fear of failure, those worried parts that eat away at you, are actually there to help you.
